Putnam County, MO (July 30, 2026) – Two people were injured in a traffic accident on US Hwy 136 about six miles east of Unionville on Tuesday evening, July 28. The collision occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, both vehicles were traveling westbound when a 2013 Kia Sorento driven by a 21-year-old Unionville woman slowed on the highway. A 2003 Ford F-150 operated by a 23-year-old Unionville man then struck the rear of the SUV.
The woman sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Putnam County Hospital. The pickup driver suffered minor injuries and was also transported to the same hospital. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were removed from the roadway by a towing service.
The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under investigation as additional information is gathered. We wish both injured drivers a full and speedy recovery.
