Lindale, TX (July 29, 2026) – Two people died on Tuesday afternoon, July 28, when two 18-wheelers collided with a passenger vehicle on Interstate 20 near mile marker 552 outside Lindale, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Adam Albritton. The passenger vehicle’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle’s passenger suffered serious injuries and later died at the hospital. Neither of the 18-wheelers’ drivers was hurt.
The investigation remains ongoing. Our condolences go out to the victims’ families and loved ones.
