Chicago, IL (July 15, 2026) – Four people were hurt, including two police officers, after a crash involving a Chicago police squad car and an SUV at West Division Street and North Hamlin Avenue in Humboldt Park on Tuesday morning.
The collision happened around 6:10 a.m. According to reports, officers were traveling north on North Hamlin Avenue in a marked squad car with emergency lights activated when they collided with an eastbound SUV in the 3700 block of West Division Street. The SUV then struck a parked vehicle.
Two officers were taken to a local hospital in fair condition. The 41-year-old SUV driver and a 62-year-old female passenger were also taken to a hospital in fair condition reported. We send our best wishes to those injured and hope for their continued recovery.
