Henderson, NV (August 15, 2026) – One police officer was injured on Friday morning after two Metro patrol vehicles crashed on northbound Interstate 11 in Henderson. The collision happened before Sunset Road at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Friday, August 14.
According to Metro police, both patrol vehicles were involved in the crash during a procession for fallen LVMPD Officer Austin Abdelnabi. One officer was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Several lanes were closed following the collision as crews responded to the scene. The incident remains under review as officials work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
