Torrington, CT (July 27, 2026) – Two motorcycle riders were seriously injured on Saturday, July 25, in a collision on Winsted Road near Sinkhole Bridge. The accident was reported at approximately 7:10 p.m.
Emergency units found two patients who required hospital treatment. One rider was airlifted to Hartford Hospital, while the other was taken by ground ambulance to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.
The roadway was closed while investigators documented the wreck and completed reconstruction work. The cause remains under examination as additional evidence is reviewed.
