Lubbock, TX (August 1, 2026) – Two people were seriously hurt after a vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a home in east Lubbock on Thursday afternoon.
The collision happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of E Colgate St. Officers arrived after receiving multiple reports of a vehicle that had struck a residence.
The police identified the driver as 40-year-old Dorthia Robinson and said a resident of the home, 55-year-old Antionette White, was also injured. Both Robinson and White were taken to UMC with serious injuries.
According to investigators, Robinson appeared to lose control of the vehicle, which traveled over a curb, crossed the 300 block of N Aspen St, and crashed into the house. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as officials continue to review the circumstances.
