Monticello, MN (July 2, 2026) – Two people were injured on Wednesday afternoon following a collision between a semi-truck and an SUV at the intersection of Highway 25 and 4th Street in Monticello, Wright County.
According to Minnesota State Patrol crash data, the incident occurred at approximately 4:47 p.m. when a northbound Kenworth semi-truck and a southbound Jeep Cherokee, attempting to turn east onto 4th Street, collided in the intersection.
Authorities reported that both occupants of the Jeep Cherokee, a 34-year-old female driver from Albertville and a 34-year-old male passenger from Saint Anthony, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Mercy Hospital. Airbags deployed in the SUV.
The semi-truck driver, a 56-year-old man from Isanti, was not injured. All parties involved were reportedly wearing seat belts, and no alcohol is suspected to be involved in the crash.
Wright County Sheriff’s Office and Centra Care EMS assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under standard investigation.
