Why Motorcycle Crashes Can Lead to Serious Injuries
Motorcycle collisions frequently result in more severe harm than those involving only passenger vehicles because riders have much less protection. Even when wearing proper safety gear, a motorcyclist is exposed to direct contact with other vehicles or the roadway during a crash.
After a serious motorcycle wreck, investigators commonly review vehicle damage, roadway markings, witness statements, and any available surveillance or dash camera footage. Traffic patterns, visibility, weather, and road conditions may also be examined to help establish how the collision unfolded. Medical evaluations can further clarify the extent of injuries and provide a clearer picture of the effects of the crash. As additional facts become available, they can help create a more complete understanding of what occurred.
