The driver of the Ram was brought to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under review by the Nevada Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team. We extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Chin and Ruetai Poovichitr.
Intersection Crashes May Require Detailed Reconstruction
Intersection crashes can take time to review because investigators may need to study the movement of each vehicle before contact. Stop signs, travel direction, lane position, and the point of impact may all help explain how the crash happened.
When vehicles leave the road or overturn after contact, the review may become more detailed. Investigators may look at final vehicle positions, damage patterns, nearby objects, and marks on the roadway.
In fatal cases, identification updates may be released after relatives are notified and reports are completed. These updates can add names, ages, hometowns, and other confirmed details that were not available in the first report. They also help clarify the timeline while the full investigation continues.
