Nevada State Police responded to the scene around 8:00 a.m. following reports of a serious collision. Authorities confirmed that the crash resulted in at least one fatality, though additional details about those involved have not yet been released.

By early afternoon, around 1:36 p.m., authorities confirmed that the roadway had been reopened and traffic flow restored.
