What Factors Can Contribute to Early Morning Pedestrian Crashes?
Early morning hours can present unique challenges for both drivers and pedestrians. Reduced light conditions may make it harder to see someone near or crossing the roadway, especially in areas without strong street lighting.
Traffic patterns may also vary during these times, with some drivers traveling at higher speeds due to lighter traffic. This can reduce reaction time if a pedestrian is present.
Driver-related factors, such as alertness and experience, can also influence how situations are handled. Clear visibility, awareness of surroundings, and following traffic laws can help reduce the likelihood of these types of incidents.
