Lavonia, GA (August 6, 2026) – A United States Postal Service driver was injured after being pinned between two vehicles on Tuesday, August 4, while delivering mail on Brookwood Drive in Lavonia.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident occurred when a blue 2017 Nissan Rogue was parked in a private driveway as the USPS driver unloaded a package. Investigators said a gray 2017 Honda Civic was backing up improperly and pinned the postal worker between the two vehicles.
The injured USPS driver was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
