Victorville, CA (January 23, 2026) – A tragic incident unfolded Thursday evening in Victorville when a man using a wheelchair was struck and fatally injured by a vehicle. The collision occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Mojave Dr, just west of Village Dr, near the Circle K gas station.
Emergency responders from Victorville Fire Department and local EMS arrived quickly and immediately began life-saving efforts, including CPR. The man was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he later succumbed to his injuries.
According to early accounts, the victim was in the roadway at the time of the crash. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with law enforcement officers during the initial investigation.
The area around the crash site was temporarily closed as authorities documented the scene and interviewed witnesses. Details about the make and model of the vehicle involved have not yet been released.
