Virginia Beach, VA (January 10, 2026) – Two people were injured following a multi-vehicle crash near Diamond Springs Rd in front of the Cypress Point Shopping Center on January 9, according to emergency dispatch communications.
The collision involved three vehicles and initially prompted concerns of a pin-in and a possible cardiac arrest. These reports were later ruled out by on-scene responders. Despite the confusion, EMS crews continued their full response due to the number of people involved and the severity initially suspected.
Police on scene confirmed that both patients were conscious and breathing when medics arrived. Emergency units remained in the area for an extended period, assisting with care and securing the scene.
Traffic through the Diamond Springs corridor experienced slowdowns as emergency vehicles operated in the area, with shoppers and passersby advised to use alternate routes during the response.
Authorities are still reviewing the events that led up to the crash.
We hope those injured recover quickly and fully.
