Visalia, CA (January 19, 2026) – A woman has tragically died following a hit-and-run accident that occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday in Visalia. The fatal incident took place at the intersection of Giddings St and Howard Ave.
Officers with the Visalia Police Department arrived at the scene to find the woman lying in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Emergency medical services quickly transported her to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries despite efforts to save her.
Authorities say the driver who struck the victim fled the scene immediately following the collision. No identifying details about the suspect vehicle have been released at this time.
