How Rear-End Collisions Can Cause Multiple Injuries
Rear-end crashes often happen when a following vehicle fails to stop in time, striking a vehicle ahead. The sudden impact can cause passengers to be thrown forward, leading to injuries even at moderate speeds.
Seatbelt use plays a critical role in reducing injury severity. Occupants not restrained may hit interior surfaces or other passengers, increasing the risk of serious harm.
Children are particularly vulnerable in crashes, which is why proper child restraints, booster seats, and seatbelts are essential. Emergency responders focus on providing medical care and assessing all occupants after these collisions to ensure prompt treatment.
