Why Parking Lots Can Be Risky for Pedestrians
Parking lots often involve constant vehicle movement, with cars entering, exiting, and backing out of spaces. This can make it harder for drivers to notice pedestrians, especially children, who may move unpredictably.
Lower speeds do not eliminate risk. Even slow-moving vehicles can cause injuries, particularly in areas with limited visibility or distractions.
Clear awareness, cautious driving, and attention to surroundings can help reduce the chances of accidents in busy parking areas.
