Why Multi-Truck Highway Crashes Can Turn Deadly
Crashes involving large trucks on major highways often result in severe damage. Commercial vehicles carry significant weight, and when they collide at highway speeds, the impact can lead to fires or major roadway blockages.
Fuel systems in heavy trucks may ignite after a serious collision. When fire spreads quickly, rescue efforts become more dangerous and complex for first responders.
Highway crashes in overnight hours can also pose visibility challenges. Lane closures are common in these incidents due to fire damage, debris, and the need for thorough investigations before traffic can safely resume.
