Wichita, KS (April 8, 2026) – A 22-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday afternoon, April 7, at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Oliver Street in Wichita.

The crash was reported around 3:28 p.m., prompting emergency units to respond to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found the motorcyclist, identified as Blaise Stewart of Wichita, on the ground.

Officials said a Kia Soul traveling southbound on Oliver Street was turning east onto Lincoln Street when it collided with the northbound motorcycle in the intersection. The impact caused the Kia to overturn onto its side.

Emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures, but Stewart died at the scene. The driver of the Kia, a woman in her 60s, was taken to a hospital for treatment. Investigators believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation. Additional details may become available as authorities continue their review. We extend our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victim and wish the injured driver a speedy recovery.

What Factors Can Increase the Risk of Motorcycle Crashes at Intersections?
