What Makes Motorcycle Crashes at Intersections So Dangerous?
Motorcycle crashes at intersections can be severe due to the limited protection riders have compared to those in larger vehicles. When vehicles cross paths or turn, it can be difficult for drivers to spot a motorcycle in time.
Intersections often involve multiple directions of travel, increasing the chances of conflict between vehicles. Even a brief misjudgment of speed or distance can lead to a serious collision.
Motorcycles are smaller and may be harder to see, especially in busy areas. Visibility, timing, and driver awareness all play a role in how these crashes occur and how serious they become.
