What Risks Are Associated with Passing in No-Passing Zones?
Roadways with limited passing visibility near Northwest Carlson Road and Hilltop Road can increase crash risk when drivers attempt to overtake other vehicles. No-passing zones are typically marked where curves, hills, or intersections reduce the ability to see oncoming traffic.
Attempting to pass in these areas can place vehicles in opposing lanes at unsafe times. This creates a higher chance of collisions, especially if another vehicle is turning or slowing ahead.
Traffic rules and road markings are designed to reduce these risks. Following designated passing zones and maintaining awareness of surrounding vehicles can help prevent these types of crashes.
