Medina County, OH (June 26, 2026) – A 31-year-old woman lost her life on Thursday, June 25, following a two-vehicle collision on State Route 57 at the Interstate 71 overpass in Montville Township. The fatal crash happened shortly after 5:30 a.m.
According to investigators, Antonina Zhu of Mansfield was driving an SUV southbound when it crossed left of center while negotiating a curve and struck a northbound sedan. Zhu was flown to a local trauma center, where she later died.
The two occupants of the sedan, both 22-year-olds from Rittman, were taken to hospitals for treatment. Wadsworth Rd remained closed for several hours before reopening later that morning. Officials continue working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
