Perham Township, MN (July 2, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning in Perham Township left one woman injured, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:14 a.m. on July 1 at the southbound Highway 78 to eastbound Highway 10 junction in Otter Tail County. Authorities said a 2018 Jeep Compass and a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee were both traveling southbound on Highway 78 when they collided.
Cynthia Kaye Sawyer, 69, of Deer Creek, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Perham Health for treatment. The driver of the Compass, 49-year-old John Scott Sawyer, was not injured. The driver of the Grand Cherokee, 59-year-old Alan Arthur Ousley of Perham, also escaped injury. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
