Lane County, OR (July 4, 2026) – A woman died, and another person was hurt following a two-car crash late Thursday night, July 2, on Highway 58 near MM 12 in Lane County. Emergency units responded to the scene at about 11:40 p.m. after receiving reports of the collision.
The investigation reported that 55-year-old Sarah Rachel Pratt of Lowell was driving a dark green Toyota Camry and was turning onto Highway 58 from a gravel road. As the car entered the eastbound lane, it was struck on the driver’s side by an eastbound dark green Ford F-150. Pratt was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 51-year-old driver of the Ford was not hurt. An adult passenger in the pickup suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Traffic along the highway was affected for about two hours while emergency units worked at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
