Olathe, KS (August 14, 2026) – A 24-year-old Raytown woman was killed, and two children were injured on Wednesday evening after two Honda Accords collided on US-69 Hwy near 159th St. The crash happened around 6:30 p.m.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, both vehicles were traveling northbound when the second Accord suddenly stopped. The driver of the first vehicle, a 2008 Honda Accord, swerved left, lost control, and collided with the second car, causing the Honda to roll.
The driver, 40-year-old Jeffrey William Davis of Kansas City, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Overland Park Regional. His passenger, 24-year-old Faith Monae Lockett of Raytown, was killed.
A 2-year-old boy suffered suspected minor injuries, while a 3-year-old girl had suspected serious injuries. Both children were taken to Children’s Mercy, while the occupants of the second Accord were not hurt. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
