Lyme, CT (July 22, 2026) – A 46-year-old woman from Hampden, Massachusetts, was seriously injured after a head-on crash on Route 156 in Lyme on Monday evening.
According to state police, the woman was traveling south on Route 156 when her vehicle crossed into the northbound lane while going through a right curve. The vehicle then collided head-on with a Dodge Ram traveling in the opposite direction. After the crash, the woman’s vehicle spun out and came to rest in the southbound lane.
She was taken to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar with serious injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram was transported to Middlesex Shoreline Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. More details will be released as soon as they become available.
