Worcester, MA (May 11, 2026) – A 62-year-old man died after being hit by a vehicle while crossing Hope Avenue on Sunday, May 10, at approximately 9:16 p.m. The victim was identified as James McGuire of Worcester.
McGuire was attempting to cross the street when he was struck. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. No other injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
A white Dodge Durango with heavy front-end damage was seen at the scene in video footage. The driver remained on scene and was cooperating with investigators. No further details about the driver have been released.
