Coeymans, NY (July 27, 2026) – A wrong-way collision involving several vehicles left three people injured early on Saturday, July 25, around 4:40 a.m., on the New York State Thruway near Exit 21A in Coeymans.
A 2021 Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it struck a 2025 Ford pickup truck head-on. The impact caused a southbound tractor-trailer to swerve and overturn. The driver of the 2025 Ford was taken to St. Peter’s Hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the 2021 Ford and the tractor-trailer driver were taken to Albany Medical Center, also with minor injuries.
The driver of the wrong-way vehicle was arrested for alleged driving while intoxicated and received multiple traffic-related charges.
