Yankton Co., SD (April 6, 2026) – A high-speed police pursuit on Thursday afternoon in Yankton County ended in a crash that left two people injured.
The incident began around 4:47 p.m. when authorities were notified of a pursuit initiated by the South Dakota Highway Patrol. During the chase, the suspect vehicle reportedly exceeded 100 mph.
The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed near the intersection of 305th St and 448th Ave. Emergency crews responded to the scene to assist those involved.
Two occupants inside the vehicle were injured and transported to a local hospital. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
