Center-Line Crashes Can Lead to Serious or Fatal Injuries
Collisions that occur when a vehicle crosses the center line can be particularly severe because they often result in head-on or near head-on impacts.
Roadways such as Highway 7 pass through rural areas like Yell County, Arkansas, where traffic speeds are often higher, and lanes may be separated only by painted center lines.
When investigating these crashes, authorities typically review driver actions, roadway conditions, and possible contributing factors to determine what caused the vehicle to cross into opposing traffic.
