Columbus, OH (July 16, 2026) – A motorcyclist was critically hurt on July 14 after a traffic collision on Noe Bixby Rd near Walnut Cliffs Dr in east Columbus.
The rider was traveling south on Noe Bixby Rd shortly before 3:10 p.m., when the Harley-Davidson entered the northbound lanes in an attempt to pass another vehicle. During the maneuver, the motorcycle sideswiped a northbound Lexus before the rider was thrown from the bike.
After being ejected, the person struck another vehicle that had stopped in the northbound lanes after its driver witnessed the initial sequence. Emergency units arrived, and the motorcyclist was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported in the initial information released. The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue to gather evidence.
