Holmes Co., OH (June 22, 2026) – One person died, and three others were hurt on Sunday evening, June 21, after a head-on collision on U.S. Route 62. The accident happened around 8:41 p.m. near Township Road 626 in Holmes County.
Troopers said a 2016 Honda Pilot was traveling west on U.S. Route 62 when it crossed left of the center line. The Honda then struck an eastbound Jeep Cherokee.
The Honda driver, identified as 49-year-old Renee Troyer of Millersburg, died at the site of the wreck. The 32-year-old Jeep driver was flown to an Akron hospital with serious injuries.
Two young passengers in the Jeep were also flown for care with critical injuries. No other names were released in the initial report. Still, investigators continue working to determine the full sequence of events before the vehicles came together.
