Simi Valley, CA (July 23, 2026) – One person died after a police pursuit ended with a pickup truck striking what appeared to be a police motorcycle on Tuesday, July 21, in Simi Valley. The fatal crash happened in the 2500 block of Dusan Street, south of Sycamore Drive.
According to initial reports, the chase ended when the suspect’s white pickup truck hit the motorcycle. Officers then fired shots at the truck, which was later seen with multiple bullet holes in its windshield. A body was covered near the vehicles as emergency units remained at the roadway.
Officials have not confirmed whether the person who died was the suspect involved in the pursuit. It also remains unclear whether any law enforcement personnel were hurt. Residents were advised to stay away from the neighborhood while investigators processed the scene, and the reason for the pursuit has not been released.
