Pocomoke City, MD (July 2, 2026) – A 53-year-old Marion Station man lost his life following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of southbound Route 13 and Holland Road in Worcester County.
According to investigators, the fatal crash happened shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30. David Loveland Jr. was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee east on Holland Road and was attempting to cross the intersection when, for reasons that have not yet been determined, the SUV was struck by a Toyota Venza traveling on Route 13.
Loveland was the sole occupant of the Jeep and was pronounced dead. The Toyota’s driver, a 37-year-old woman, and a 34-year-old male passenger were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Emergency units remained at the roadway while investigators documented the site, and traffic lanes stayed closed for more than three hours.
