Tucson, AZ (July 6, 2026) – A driver died, and a teenage passenger was hurt after a single-vehicle crash on the 8700 block of East Yuma Street on Saturday, July 4. The driver was identified as 20-year-old Taleah Natasha Reese.
Emergency units arrived at the scene and found Reese dead. A 16-year-old girl who was riding as a passenger had minor injuries and was brought to a hospital for care.
The police said Reese had been driving west on Yuma Street while taking a slight curve. The vehicle left the roadway, then Reese overcorrected and lost control, causing it to roll. The collision remains under review as investigators work to confirm the full sequence of events.
