Shamrock Township, MN (June 30, 2026) – Two people were hurt after two vehicles came together at the intersection of Highway 65 and County Road 14 in Shamrock Township, Aitkin County, on Sunday, June 28.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2022 Kia K5 was traveling north on Highway 65 while a 2026 Hyundai Palisade was heading west on County Road 14 when the vehicles collided in the intersection.
The Kia was driven by 18-year-old Charlie David Lucas of Forest Lake, who was not injured. A 17-year-old passenger in the Kia was taken to Riverwood Health in Aitkin for treatment. The Hyundai was driven by a 16-year-old girl who was not hurt. Her passenger, 16-year-old Aftin Genevieve Nelson of Star Prairie, Wisconsin, was also uninjured.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation as additional details are reviewed.
