Blendon Twp., MI (June 30, 2026) – Two women were seriously injured on Monday afternoon, June 29, after a head-on crash on 72nd Avenue in Blendon Township. The accident happened shortly before 5:40 p.m. near Bauer Road.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said an SUV was traveling south on 72nd Avenue when it crossed the center line and collided with a pickup truck. Deputies said the crash happened in the area of 72nd Avenue and Bauer Road.
The pickup driver, a 29-year-old Hudsonville woman, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Her passenger, a 39-year-old Comstock Park woman, was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
The SUV driver, a 41-year-old man from Greenwood, Indiana, was not hurt. Investigators are still working to determine why the SUV crossed the center line.
