Oceanside, CA (January 4, 2026) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Oceanside Blvd and College Blvd, prompting a full investigation by local authorities. The deadly incident occurred just before 7:19 p.m., according to a report from the Oceanside Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene and found an adult male pedestrian with fatal injuries in the center median of Oceanside Blvd. Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity has not been publicly released, pending notification of his family.
Initial findings from the investigation revealed that the pedestrian had been sitting in the center median when he was struck by an eastbound black Ford Mustang. The driver of the Mustang, described as an adult male, remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators.
Police stated that impairment by drugs or alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash. The incident remains under active investigation to determine what circumstances led to the collision.
