Lake Elsinore, CA (January 7, 2026) – A female pedestrian was struck and killed late Monday night at an intersection in Lake Elsinore, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred around 11:10 p.m. on January 5 at the intersection of Grand Ave and Stoneman St. Authorities say the woman was walking in the roadway when she was hit by a vehicle under circumstances that remain under investigation.
Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, the woman died from her injuries at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Few other details have been made available, and investigators are continuing to gather information to determine what led to the tragic collision.
