Franklin Co, MO (January 9, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of MO-30 and Route K in Franklin County left one man with injuries on Thursday evening, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 5:03 p.m. when a westbound 2008 Kia Sportage attempted to turn and crossed into the path of a southbound 2007 Dodge Caliber. The resulting collision caused moderate damage to both vehicles, each of which had to be towed from the scene by local services.
The driver of the Kia, a 46-year-old man from St. Clair, MO, sustained injuries. He was transported by private vehicle to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment. The 70-year-old man operating the Dodge, also from St. Clair, was reported uninjured.
MSGT. L.J. Keathley led the investigation, with assistance from Tpr. J.R. Brown. Preliminary findings indicate that the crash was caused by a failure to yield during the turning movement.
We hope for a quick and complete recovery for the injured driver.
