Montebello, CA (January 12, 2026) – A 26-year-old man was tragically killed early Saturday morning in a collision involving a semi-truck on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway at the North Garfield Avenue exit. According to investigators, Aidan Guevara was driving a white sedan when he collided with a big rig on the freeway off-ramp. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and authorities have not confirmed what factors may have led to the crash.
Emergency crews from the CHP and the Montebello Fire Department responded to the scene. Despite their efforts, Guevara was pronounced dead at the site of the crash. No other injuries were reported among those involved.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed the identity of the victim as Aidan Guevara. His city of residence was not released.
CHP officers continue to investigate the incident to determine the sequence of events and whether any external conditions or driver behavior may have contributed to the collision.
