Worcester, MA (January 12, 2026) – A cyclist sustained a head injury following a collision with a silver vehicle along Lake Ave, according to emergency dispatch reports.
The crash occurred around 1:20 p.m. when multiple 911 calls reported that a bicyclist had been struck and was initially unconscious at the scene. By the time emergency crews arrived, the individual had regained consciousness but was bleeding from the head.
EMS units responded promptly and were on-site, coordinating with law enforcement. However, officers noted that the cyclist was no longer at the scene by the time they arrived, raising the possibility that the driver involved may have transported the injured person directly to a hospital prior to official transport.
Authorities confirmed that the cyclist’s bicycle was located nearby. Crews worked to confirm the victim’s identity and whereabouts through EMS and additional contacts.
The incident remains under investigation as officials continue to determine the circumstances of the collision and confirm the sequence of events.
Our thoughts are with the injured cyclist as they recover from this accident.
