Bowling Green, KY (January 12, 2026) – A serious head-on collision occurred in front of Sam’s Club on January 12, leaving multiple people injured and at least one person reportedly trapped. Bowling Green Fire Department, EMS, and BGPD responded to the scene where two heavily damaged vehicles required immediate emergency intervention.
Initial reports indicated that the crash involved a possible broken leg and several other injuries. Fire crews confirmed entrapment upon arrival, prompting a rescue operation to safely extract the individual from one of the vehicles. Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage, and debris was scattered across the roadway near the commercial entrance.
EMS teams evaluated the scene and confirmed that six patients would be transported to area hospitals. The full extent of their injuries has not yet been released, but the severity of the collision prompted a large-scale medical response.
Traffic around the shopping center was temporarily blocked as responders worked to treat victims and clear the wreckage. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and authorities have not yet stated whether any citations will be issued.
