Otter Tail County, MN (January 19, 2026) – A crash involving two semi-trucks led to injuries along westbound Interstate 94 in Otter Tail County. The incident occurred near milepost 45 at approximately 1:57 p.m., according to Minnesota State Patrol reports.
Crews from the Fergus Falls Fire Department, Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, MNDOT, and Ringdahl EMS responded to the scene. The crash involved a 2001 Kenworth semi and a 2024 Freightliner semi, both traveling westbound, when they collided under unclear circumstances.
The driver of the Kenworth, 50-year-old Bradley Paul Rodenwald of Albany, MN, was not injured in the collision. The driver of the Freightliner, 59-year-old Gary Allen Zaug of Plover, WI, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls for evaluation.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and no airbags were deployed. Alcohol was not a factor, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
