Cecil Co, MD (January 21, 2026) – Fire crews responded on Tuesday to a structure fire on Wallace Ave in the northeastern part of Cecil County, where heavy smoke was reported, and one individual suffered burn injuries.
According to fire officials, the blaze was classified as a working structure fire, with Capt. 18 first on the scene reporting significant smoke conditions. Emergency responders quickly began fire suppression efforts while coordinating medical care for the injured person.
The burn patient was treated at the scene and transported for further care. The extent of their injuries has not yet been made public.
Multiple agencies were involved in the emergency response as crews worked to bring the fire under control and ensure the safety of nearby structures. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
