Chatfield Twp, MN (January 22, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on Highway 52 in Fillmore County resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to four individuals on Tuesday morning. The crash occurred at approximately 10:22 a.m. on January 21, 2026, near Milepost 28 in Chatfield Township.
According to officials, a 2018 Ford Expedition was traveling southbound while a 2005 Toyota Prius was heading northbound when the vehicles collided. The impact of the deployed airbags in both vehicles resulted in multiple injuries.
The driver of the Ford Expedition, 25-year-old Annika Maryanna Quanrud of Fountain, and a 2-year-old male passenger, also from Fountain, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital for treatment. The Minnesota State Patrol confirmed that both occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
In the Toyota Prius, 37-year-old Andrea Christina Eger of Spring Grove and 33-year-old Heidi Ann Eger of Canton were also injured. Both were transported to Olmsted Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Airbags deployed in the Prius as well, and all individuals involved were reportedly properly restrained.
Outside agencies assisting at the scene included the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office, Fountain Fire/EMS, and Preston and Chatfield EMS. Authorities have stated that alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
