Smithtown, NY (January 28, 2026) – A serious four-vehicle accident with injuries and entrapment occurred Tuesday evening at the intersection of Terry Rd and the Smithtown Bypass, prompting a major emergency response.
The crash took place around 7:39 p.m. on January 27, involving a multi-car pileup that left at least one individual trapped inside a vehicle. Firefighters, paramedics, and rescue crews rushed to the scene to begin extrication efforts and provide urgent medical assistance.
Crews worked swiftly to free the trapped occupant while treating several other individuals for injuries sustained in the collision.
