Whitewater Twp, OH (January 28, 2026) – A serious accident involving multiple semi-trucks caused major highway closures and injuries in Whitewater Township on Tuesday afternoon. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the crash, which occurred on northbound I-275 at the I-74 interchange.
According to the Greater Cincinnati Police and Fire Chaplain Services, the collision involved three semi-trucks, one of which overturned, spilling lumber across the highway. First responders worked urgently at the site, where at least one person was reportedly trapped inside a vehicle following the impact. Two drivers sustained injuries and were evaluated by paramedics. The extent of their injuries remains unknown as of this update.
Due to the severity of the crash and the debris field, authorities shut down the interstate in all directions. Significant delays were reported throughout the region as drivers were rerouted.
