Understanding How Intersection and Turn Crashes Happen
Collisions at driveways and side streets often occur when vehicles attempting to turn fail to notice oncoming traffic. Left-turn crashes can be especially dangerous because drivers may misjudge speed or distance.
Vehicle size, speed, and braking ability also affect the outcome of such incidents. Modern cars with advanced safety features may reduce some risks, but sudden maneuvers and driver inattention can still lead to serious injuries.
Road conditions, lighting, and visibility at dusk can further contribute to crashes near intersections or driveways, making extra caution critical during these situations.
