Multi-Vehicle Collisions and Freeway Traffic Risks
Multi-vehicle crashes on busy freeways often occur when traffic suddenly slows or stops, giving drivers little time to react. These incidents can quickly involve multiple vehicles due to close following distances and high travel speeds.
Investigators typically review traffic flow, driver behavior, weather conditions, and roadway visibility to determine what contributed to a collision. Drivers are encouraged to maintain safe following distances and remain attentive, particularly in congested areas, to help reduce the risk of chain-reaction crashes.
